6 Questions To Ask Yourself If You Want To Transform Your Life

There are times when you’re ready for a change in your life, and then there are times when change comes even if you don’t want it!

It’s just a part of this thing we call life!

The inevitability of life is, of course, change - whether you’re ready to transform your life or not. I went through this with my divorce. It was the last thing I would have thought I wanted, but now I realize that it was exactly the way my life needed to go.

And I’m grateful to say Glen and I are still business partners and good friends.

But how do you know if it’s the right time to change your life or if you’re just feeling restless? It’s important to dig deep and find out what the motivation is, to check your goals and inspiration, and ask yourself the right questions to make sure you’ll have a successful life you are proud of!

It’s not always easy to recognize true transformation and find what it is that you really want. But when you put yourself in a high vibration and get to the heart of the matter, it can be incredible. So I decided to give you some tips to transform your life and some questions to ask yourself to get you on the road to a better you.

So let’s start with -

1) What is it that I really want in life?

This is the universal question, and it can pop up at any age. And it can change (and usually does!) as you grow spiritually and get older. So it’s one of those questions that needs revisiting, perhaps a number of times, throughout life. And this is one of those questions that require depth and honesty. So ask yourself, what is it that I really want in life? When you truly know, then usually opportunities present themselves. It’s amazing how that happens.

2) What has to happen in order to create change?

Change can feel (and be) overwhelming, so this is a vital question to ask but also to think about in pieces if it involves major external changes (i.e., moving, a job change, a relationship ending, or starting your own family). In other words, take it step-by-step.

3) If I don’t change, where will I be in 5 years?

Since, as I mentioned above, change is an inevitability in life - then if you stay stagnant, whether from fear or complacency, where would that leave you? Is the idea of seeing yourself in the same (or similar) situation in 5 years enough to motivate you to make the needed changes? Only you can answer that question, but it’s a necessary one to pose to yourself.

4) Am I living from my heart?

This could also be framed another way: What does your gut tell you? Your instinct? I’ve found that when I dig deep and get quiet, my heart/gut/instinct always has the right answer for me. So get quiet and see what you really feel about making the change.

5) What will I miss out on if I don’t change?

These could be subtle things that you’d miss out on if you don’t change, or big things - depending on the direction you see your life going. Subtle things such as, how you might feel about yourself if you don’t change. Will it make you feel bad about yourself if you choose to stay where you are? Bigger changes, if you don’t take a certain job or decide not to move. Think about everything you might miss out on and how that would feel.

6) If not now, when?

If you’ve got a spiritual practice, then you make a habit of living in the now. The now is truly all you’ve got. As Wayne Dyer said, “Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last. The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed.”

So…what are you waiting for? :-)
