The Season Of Transition & Growth: How To Reset & Refocus This Fall

The Season Of Transition & Growth: How To Reset & Refocus This Fall

Person Throwing Fall Leaves in the Air

The leaves are changing, school is back in session, and pumpkin spice is in the air — fall is officially here! And regardless of your feelings about pumpkin spice, for many of us, this season brings a sense of refreshed energy and motivation! So whether you're looking to reset after a busy summer or refocus on a goal for the year ahead, now is the perfect time to start fresh.

So here are a few tips to help you refresh your goals, your priorities, and your focus for a fresh start this autumn season:

Simplify your space.

One of the best ways to start fresh is to declutter and simplify your living space. This could mean anything from getting rid of clothes you no longer wear to purging old paperwork and files you no longer need. Not only will this help you feel more organized, but it can also help you feel lighter and freer — ready to take on anything that comes your way!

Set some intentions.

As you begin this new season, it's also a great time to set some intentions for what you want to accomplish. Whether it's taking on a new hobby, finally starting (or finishing!) that project you've been putting off, or simply spending more time outside enjoying the autumn weather, setting some intentions can help give you a sense of focus and purpose.

Revisit your current goals.

If you're not sure what your goals for this season should be, take a look back at the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year. What have you accomplished so far? What still needs work? Consider this time to get a head start on your new year's resolutions. This can help give you a better idea of where to focus your energy as we head into the final few months of the year. It's also important to take this time to celebrate all that you've accomplished.

Refresh your routine.

If you're feeling stuck in a rut, one of the best ways to start fresh is to refresh your daily routine – and especially a routine that feels calming and productive for your mental health. This might involve adding in a new self-care practice like meditation or journaling, or it could be as simple as mixing up your morning routine to include some stretching or deep breathing exercises. Listen to your body (and mind!) and lean in wholeheartedly to give yourself what you need to thrive this fall!

Reconnect with nature.

One of the best things about fall is that it's such a beautiful time of year to get outdoors and enjoy all that nature has to offer. So make it a point to get outside as often as you can – go for a walk in the park, sit by the lake, or even just spend some time in your backyard. Reconnecting with nature can help ground you, ease stress, and boost your mood.

Nourish your body.

As the weather cools down, it's also a great time to nourish your body with warm, comforting foods. This doesn't mean you have to give up all of your healthy eating habits – but incorporating some heartier, seasonal meals into your diet can help stave off winter sickness and help you feel your best.

Check-in with loved ones.

With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it can be easy to let months go by without checking in with our loved ones. And if you find yourself feeling a bit all over the place, chances are, the people close to you may be experiencing a form of that as well. So this fall, make it a point to reach out to your family and friends – whether it's a phone call or just a quick text message – let them know you're thinking of them and see how they're doing.

Make time for fun.

Finally, don't forget to make time for fun! Even if your summer was also filled with lots of fun or travel, it's okay to keep that party going! At the very least, schedule some time for activities that bring you joy – whether it's going on a hike with your dog, baking a batch of cookies, or just taking yourself on a fun fall-themed day trip. Often, the refresh we need requires us to do things that are just for us and make us happy.

You see, there is so much growth that is possible when you mindfully take inventory of what your life, your goals, and your body need from time to time. Because as seasons change, so do we – and that is perfectly okay! So no matter how you decide to start fresh this autumn season, the important thing is that you do what feels right for you. So take some time for yourself, set some intentions, and enjoy all that this time of year has to offer!

And one additional tip I'd like to offer you this fall season is FREE access to my personal introspection process! And the reason why I'd like to share it with you is that this eye-opening mind exercise works to help you reveal the hidden subconscious programming that could be keeping you from manifesting your dream life. So if you're ready to ditch things like stress and self-doubt, go here now to give it a try! (Plus!
