We can't always predict or control the kind of adversity that enters our lives.
But what we do have control over is the way we face and learn from these challenges. And one of the most powerful ways to do this is through visualization.
In the inspiring video above, courtesy of Mind Body Green, actress Kelly Rutherford shares why she turned to creative visualization to handle the pressure of her painful divorce with grace and forgiveness.
As she struggled with an incredibly public custody battle for her children, Kelly once felt alone and dominated by her fears.
But what she learned along the tough journey was that we can’t control the future. There are aspects of our lives that we have control over - of course. But we can’t predict exactly how life will unfold. Once she recognized this, she was able to focus on what she could control, helping her banish anxiety and fear.
“We’re much more powerful than we know.” Kelly says. “I don’t think we’re raised knowing how powerful we are and that the thoughts we have are creating our future.”
Kelly goes on to share that she started using visualization to create and set her intentions - and how you should too!
