7 Steps To Finding Your Purpose in Life

Do you often feel as if you’re walking aimlessly through life with no purpose or direction? If yes, you’re not alone! Many people struggle to find their purpose, and live much of their life without a real sense of focus or direction. Living without direction can lead to anxiety, procrastination and frustration - totally hindering your personal development! This is why it’s so important to get crystal clear on what your path is.

Step 1. Be clear on why you want to find your purpose.

Make a list of all the reasons you feel compelled to find your purpose in life. This will give you a good starting point and remembering this will keep you on track when you feel you’ve lost your motivation.
 

Step 2. Make a list.

If you were financially free, what would you be doing now? Write down all the things that make you excited and describe what your ideal day looks like.
 

Step 3. Find out what you’re good at.

Pay close attention to what others say you’re good at, oftentimes this could reveal a special skill you didn’t know you had.
 

Step 4. Find out what’s most important to you.

After all, living a purposeful life means living a life focused on things that matter the most… do you know what are they? You’ll be surprised to find out that they are rarely material things.
 

Step 5. Embrace ALL your gifts.

Who says there’s only ONE purpose for you in life? Letting go of this idea will help you open yourself up to more opportunities that you may not have even considered in the first place. Don’t limit yourself to doing only one thing, go out and explore your many facets and skills!
 

Step 6. Get out of your comfort zone.

Oftentimes, we do everything except what’s best for us… we procrastinate, we pass on opportunities, we jeopardize our health, and why?

Because we don’t like to feel pain or discomfort. Or what’s worse, we would rather feel discomfort than face our fears.

But guess what? When you face your fears and get out of your comfort zone, that’s when you’ll find freedom and joy. You’ll get to know yourself better, as you’ll be expanding your mind and your abilities.
 

Step 7. Take time to reflect.

Set aside a few minutes of your time every day to sit quietly in stillness and reflect on what makes you happy, what you want to do with your life and what kind of impact you want to have on this world.

You’ll be shocked to find that most of the answers will be revealed to you :)
