Mindset Shifts For A Fulfilling Life

“Life happens.”

Have you heard that statement before?  I think it’s safe to say, we can all relate to the ups and downs of “life happening” around us from time to time. Each and every one of us is going through all kinds of different things on a daily basis. We’re constantly making decisions that impact the future - what clothes to wear, what to eat for lunch, remembering how to get to an appointment across town - you get the idea. Our minds are on autopilot every second of the day, making sure we can function to handle life’s responsibilities.  When we’re faced with things like bills, traffic jams, or unexpected visitors, it can be hard to stop down and give our minds a rest from life happening around us. And it’s usually those hiccups in life that hit us when we least expect it, so, we are left feeling overwhelmed and sometimes depleted from the nonstop decision-making we must endure getting to the next stepping stone.

But when does the constant running around end? When you do finally take a second to stop down and think about your life, can you confidently say you are leading a fulfilling life? Are you happy? Are you receiving everything you want out of life? Or, are you hoping for more? Whether it’s tangible or not, we can all relate to wanting more - more money, more time, more freedom, more traveling, etc. But the questions is how - How do we manifest more for ourselves?

The Law of Attraction reminds us that we have the power to bring into our lives what we are focusing on, whether it’s good or bad.  So, if you are attempting to manifest more abundance, but are constantly dwelling on the fact that you are living from paycheck to paycheck, the mind only sees this as a lack of money. So, even if you hope to have more money, you must use mindset shifts to actually bring that money in, via the universe. Remember, put out into the universe exactly what it is that you want. Even if optimism isn’t your thing, you still have the power to shift your mind toward a much more fulfilling life, and I’m going to show you how.

Step 1 - Use phrases in the affirmative:

Think, “I have”, “I am”,  “I receive”, or “I own.” If you are just getting familiar with speaking about your life in an affirmative way, you can use these types of statements to trigger your mind to think they already exist.  Whether it’s already come to fruition or not, the universe can’t tell the difference, so you must use mindset shifts to let the universe know you are already there. And what I mean by “there” is getting to a place of fulfillment, abundance, or whatever it is you are seeking in your life.

Remember, the thoughts in your mind become things, so you have to be clear and you have to be specific when projecting what you want to the universe.

Step 2 - Don’t let worry hold you back:

Worry is the type of limiting belief that has the power to hold you back from living the fulfilling life you have always dreamed of.  I’m a big fan of the Tiny Buddha blog, and they recently shared an article discussing how to reinvent yourself when you’re feeling stuck and unfulfilled. The article states, “Telling myself I was stuck only kept me stuck. Telling myself I was anxious only made me more anxious about feeling anxious.”

Those statements really stuck out to me because not only does worrying waste time, but it also becomes a part of what you are releasing to the universe.  And just like we went over, your thoughts become things, whether they are good or bad. So, start by eliminating worry from your mind and trust the process involved in getting to the fulfilling life you see for yourself.  When life is happening around you, instead of worrying about things like the bills due at the beginning of the month or running late during rush hour traffic, shift your mind to a place of gratitude. Start repeating these kinds of statements to yourself:

“I always get to work on time.”

“I have more than enough money to cover my monthly bills.”

‘I am surrounded with meaningful relationships in my life.”

“I am confident and capable in my line of work.”

“I have more than enough money to travel whenever I feel like it.”

But you must not forget, this part takes consistency - think of it as a habit. And whether they are good or bad, habits can be hard to break. So, it behooves you to practice the kind of habits that yield the fulfillment you are looking for in your life.

Step 3 - Understand that you are worthy:

Hardships and life happenings can derail us from achieving our ultimate goals, but you must realize that we are all worthy of living a fulfilling life. A life of fulfillment might mean something different to the next person, but for whatever you are seeking in life, you must realize you are fully capable of obtaining it. Just because you sometimes feel like life is moving at a crazy pace and you don’t have the bandwidth to stop down and reflect on the life you want, understanding that you are absolutely deserving of a fulfilling life is paramount in manifesting the life of your dreams.

I encourage you to use these tips for fulfillment to start manifesting the life you want, and again, the life you deserve. We’ve all got life happening around us, but that does not stop any of us from creating and living a fulfilling life.  It all starts in your mind!
