Hillary Clinton Is Expected To Make a Full Recovery From Her Recent Blood Clot, According To Doctors At New York Presbyterian Hospital

Hillary Clinton Credits Positive Thinking With Helping Her Heal Quickly From A Blood Clot Found In Her Head on December 30, 2012, According To A Recent Article On CNN.com. Law of Attraction Guru And Mind Movies Co-Founder Natalie Ledwell Agrees That Positive Affirmations And Visualization Can Help Individuals Heal Much Faster From Illness And Injury.

Positive affirmations and positive thinking helped Secretary of State Hillary Clinton heal quickly from a blood clot that was found in her head on December 30, 2012, according to a recent article on CNN.com. After only three days in the hospital, Clinton was released on January 2, 2013. Although Clinton will need to be on blood thinners for several months, the clot did not result in a stroke or any neurological damage and “she should recover fully” according to Dr. Jack Ansell, an expert in thrombosis at Lenox Hill Hospital who is not involved in Clinton's care. Clinton is already visualizing coming back to work, according to State Department Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland: “She is talking to staff; she sounds terrific.”

Clinton, now 65, also suffered from a blood clot in the leg in 1998. In the article on CNN, doctors share that anyone who has had a blood clot in the past is at a higher risk of getting one again and individuals that spend a significant amount of time on airplanes, where their legs are in the same position for a long time and therefore prone to clotting, are at increased risk.

Although Clinton has also suffered a recent concussion and has been under criticism for her handling of the September 11, 2012 attack on the US consulate compound in Benghazi, she is using positive affirmations to stay focused on her recovery and manifesting the next chapter of her life. That chapter includes stepping down from her Secretary of State post this year and a possible run for the Presidency in 2016.

“Blood clots wouldn't deter her from campaigning if that's what she chooses,” Ansell says. "I think her future is as good as her past. She should recover fully and get back to work."

Natalie Ledwell, Law of Attraction guru and co-founder of the San Diego-based personal development company Mind Movies, agrees that positive affirmations and visualization can not only help you heal from an illness, but they can also help you to move on from challenging chapters in your life.

“Many people spend their mental energy replaying events from the past,” says Ledwell. “But when you visualize and use present tense affirmations, you begin to pull yourself into a healthier, more fulfilling future. Do this on a regular basis, and you’ll find that circumstances around you begin to align with this new future faster than you may think.”
