Manifesting courage and personal growth in the face of tragedy is the theme of “The Impossible," an inspirational new film starring Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. Based on true events, “The Impossible†chronicles the amazing story of a family vacationing in Thailand during the 2004 Christmas holiday that are literally torn apart when a tsunami strikes.
The movie illustrates the family's post-tsunami journey as the father and his two youngest sons desperately search for his wife and oldest son Lucas while vowing never, ever to give up. Meanwhile, Lucas struggles to keep himself and his severely injured mother alive, rising to the challenge by manifesting unexpected courage in the face of physical roadblocks.
