Mind Movies Uses Facebook to Spread Thanksgiving Charity Video and Donate 200 Thanksgiving Meals

Mind Movies, a San Diego personal development company, has used social media to create a first time ever Thanksgiving promotion where community members can contribute to helping hungry families get Thanksgiving meals.

Mind Movies and their growing community of Facebook friends teamed up this Thanksgiving to make a dent in world hunger.

Mind Movies is a personal development company based in San Diego, California. They offer a "Law of Attraction" solution that empowers people to reach their dreams through visualization software, in line with the philosophy from the DVD and book, "The Secret."

To welcome the holiday season, Mind Movies invited their Facebook community to share a special Thanksgiving Mind Movie with their family and friends. If they reached 1000 shares in just 108 hours, 200 Thanksgiving meals would be donated to the homeless, care of the San Diego Rescue Mission.

In response to the request, Lisa Peters, a member of the Facebook community said, "I am happy to pass it along, it was a great reminder to live in gratitude."

This particular Mind Movie was created to evoke feelings of gratitude and abundance within each watcher. Quotes like ?God gave you the gift of 86.400 seconds today. Have you used one to say ?Thank You??? played on the screen along with supporting images such as a colorful gift box.

According to the Mind Movies team, the key ingredients to a successful Mind Movie are positive affirmations, vivid images, and music.

"Our mission is to help people manifest their aspirations, through emotionally inspiring videos. We know that that while positive thinking is extremely powerful, it is taking action that really changes the world, so we wanted to remind our community of this by contributing to the San Diego Rescue Mission," says Ryan Higgins, founder of Mind Movies.

The campaign ended on midnight, Thursday November 22nd 2011; just short of reaching their goal of 1000 Facebook shares. However, the Mind Movies team still donated two hundred meals to the homeless, turning dreams of turkey and pumpkin pie into reality for residents across San Diego.
