10 Life Tips I'd Tell My Younger Self (That Could Save You Time & Worry)

As a Law of Attraction enthusiast, student, and teacher, I believe that everything happens for a reason. And even from the most painful situations, I’m always confident that fulfilling and happier situations can emerge.

Yet, looking back on my life, I often wish I had had the advice of an older and wiser person as that could have saved me time, worry, and lots of unnecessary drama. ;-)

I’m not necessarily saying I wish I could go back in time and do things differently, but simply to be reminded at a younger age to trust and relax - knowing that everything will work out.

If you had the chance, what piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

With this in mind, here are 10 life tips I wish I knew in my younger years:

1. Expressing gratitude changes your day and your life!

Sometimes we forget how amazing it is to simply wake up to a new day and be grateful for being alive. Never take your present day for granted! Acknowledge it and see how your day changes.

2. Learn about the Law of Attraction

Your life would be so much better if you knew about the Law of Attraction so much earlier! Read more about it, immerse yourself in it so you can start consciously creating (and attracting) your ideal future now!

3. Smile more because it’s good for you

Smiling is probably the most simple thing you can do to reduce stress, reduce blood pressure, and boost your immune system. Plus, it’s really difficult to stay angry when you’re smiling. Smile more even if it’s for no reason.

4. Nothing is worth your health

Health is one of those gifts that it’s often overlooked until you don’t have it. And without it, you have little or no freedom at all to do what you love most. Many illnesses and ailments could probably have been prevented by taking care of your health. So remember - you only have one body, one mind, and one spirit, so take care of all of them now to ensure that you can enjoy life even in your much older years.

5. Every morning is a clean slate

Remind yourself that every morning is a new opportunity to start fresh. So forget yesterday, forgive yourself today, and start over now! Life is too short to be stuck in the past, worrying about the future, or questioning every little decision you make. Have confidence in yourself. Wake up knowing you own your life and you’re responsible for your own happiness!

6. Don’t forget to live in the NOW

While you brew coffee or tea, take some time to breathe. Close your eyes and connect with the present moment and savor it. Smell your coffee. Touch your surroundings. Heighten your awareness levels by truly opening yourself up to your five senses.

7. Don’t be so hard on yourself

Know that your “BEST” is going to change from time to time. You can't be the best version of yourself every single day. There are days when you are a powerhouse and days when you need to relax, trust the process, and treat yourself with more compassion. Learn to recognize the difference and live a balanced life

8. Be the person you want to attract

When you focus on having a partner, you're neglecting yourself as well. And most of the time this means you're lacking self-love, rather than a partner. Start acknowledging your own potential so you can be ready when you find true love. I’m sure you hear it a lot but you must first love yourself to be loved in return.

9. "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

Dr. Seuss said it best - why care so much about other people’s opinions? Keep in mind that most people probably don’t think about you as much as you’d like to think, so stop worrying so much. Do what feels right for you because your happiness is the only thing that matters. And not to be a broken record, but who is in charge of your happiness? YOU :-)

10. Don’t be afraid to dream BIG

Taking risks and dreaming big is the only way to change anything or have success, so get to it! Bite off more than you can chew, then chew more!
