Enlightening Wisdom For An Abundant, Joyful & Love-Filled Life

5 Easy Ways To Boost Your Health

Being healthy is more than eating right and being active.

While exercise and healthy eating habits are essential, there are a few more things you can do to raise your health levels.

Here are some of my favorites:

1) LOL - Laugh Out Loud!

Not only does laughing feel good, it's also good for you. Laughter increases your endorphins, and reduces stress. Watch a funny movie, see a comedy show or find a way to laugh at everyday situations.

2) Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.

You should eat your heavier meals earlier in the day because you can burn them off throughout the day. Eating before bed can cause sleep disruptions and play a role in weight gain because your metabolism is slower while you sleep.

3) Stay Hydrated

Water makes up more than half of your body weight and our organs need water to function properly. Drinking water regularly ensures your body will operate like a well oiled machine.

4) Get (Quality) Sleep

While it's important to get enough sleep, you also need quality sleep. The moments right before you go to bed are critical to your sleep. Aim to calm your mind and be in a deep state of relaxation before bed.

5) Go veg once a week!

Replacing one meal a week with a vegetarian meal is a great way to reduce your ecological footprint and improve your health at the same time. Eating vegetarian will help you to cut out calories and saturated fats, as well as increase your intake of fiber, vitamins and minerals. If you're worried vegetarian meals are boring and you don't know exactly what to cook, check out this amazing vegetarian downloadable cookbook. Yum!

I hope you give 1 (or all 5) of these tips a shot. When it comes to your health, it's important to remember to take care of your mind, body and spirit.
