5 Tips To Your Happiest Holiday Season Yet

The holidays are one of the most cheerful times of the year, however for some, this time of year can also bring up negative emotions like stress and anxiety.

Some of my Ultimate Success Masterclass students even reached out to me for advice recently, expressing their concern about this. 

So if you’re going through a difficult time in your life right now and you’d like to stay positive, raise your vibration, and attract more happiness and peace…

In today’s blog post, I’d like to take the opportunity to share with you 5 questions from my students and my 5 answers that will hopefully help you too :)

 

Q1. How To Align Your Core Values with Your Goals 

Dear Natalie, 

As I was writing my goals for the upcoming year, something very revealing suddenly came up. 

See, my goal is to be a successful creative artist whose work would sell for hundreds of dollars. I see myself in my own studio/gallery, which is big enough to invite visiting artists, as well as my exhibiting own work. 

The problem is that I have a strong service mentality, which does not fit with powerful business and money-focused goals that I have been nurturing. 

I suddenly feel less confident about achieving a goal that is 'just for me'. What can I do to turn this around?

A1: Recognizing your Limiting Beliefs and knowing how they stop and hold you back is a great place to start! You are definitely moving in the right direction. 

Remember, you get to choose what you let impact you and slow you down and what you do not. I went to a seminar not too long ago and one of the sessions was on limiting beliefs. One of the insights I learned is how we create stories. 

I learned that there is usually a story attached to our limiting beliefs that we tell ourselves that doesn't help us anymore. The great news is that you can change your story! 

When you hear that old record play, "It isn't ok to achieve this just for me” or "I'm not really worthy of this" - simply change your story to… "I am absolutely worth accomplishing this for!" 

Does that make sense?

 

Q2. Raising Your Vibration. 

Hi Natalie, 

You mentioned how important it is for us to be in our ‘happy place’ when setting a goal or an intention. I have a goal that I am still trying to achieve for years now, and it was not set in the right vibrational state that you mentioned. 

So how do you reset a goal in a happy place that was originally set in a low vibration place? 

A2: The best way to approach this is to momentarily disregard your original goal. 

Then get into your Happy Place, close your eyes and visualize how amazing life will be when you have the perfect career/health/relationship you want. 

Spend a few minutes here and really see and FEEL yourself living this new reality. Once you open your eyes stay quiet a while longer and ask the question “What is my #1 goal for this life area?” And stay quiet until an answer comes to you.

You may have the same goal... and that's fine... or, you may come up with a whole new goal. The most important thing here, is that you’ll gain clarity. 

 

Q3. Success Rituals For 2016   

Hi Natalie, 

What is a daily success ritual that I can apply to my life to reach my 2016 goals faster? 

A3: Here are some really great examples: 

1) Keep a gratitude journal. Each night before you go to bed, write down 5 things that you are grateful for. These can be big, small or in between. Your gratitude journal is the fastest way to get to your happy place, while attracting abundance to you. 

2) Random acts of kindness, like leaving extra change in someone’s parking meter or rounding up when you tip at a restaurant. 

3) Offer a compliment or words of encouragement to someone in need. 

4) Watch an episode of the Inspiration Show (my online TV show).

5) Visualize or watch your Mind Movie. 

 

Q4. Staying Positive During Financial Challenges 

Dear Natalie, 

I’m struggling because I don’t have the money to buy my son the new socks he desperately needs, let alone the toys that they want for Christmas. How do I answer their questions, yet still maintain the positive vibration that I'm working so hard to keep? 

Every time I have to tell them "no" feels like I take a step back, energy-wise. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose run into this. What can I do?

A4: This is a terrific opportunity for them to learn not just by your words, but also by your actions and example. Imagine the power of learning these things earlier in life. After all you (and they), will come across negative or challenging times in their lives. It’s actually what makes life interesting and provides us with the valuable lessons and opportunities to grow and evolve. 

What you (and they) do have control over is how you choose to view these events and how you will allow or won’t allow them to impact you moving forwards. When you choose to see events differently, it will completely change your perception of them. I suggest you BE an example of happiness, success and positive vibrations. You will inspire them to BE the same, it’s contagious. 

 

Q5. Dealing With an Unwelcome Holiday Guest 

Hi Natalie, 

I’ll be attending a Christmas party where I’ll be seeing a relative that I consider toxic for her constant gossip, rude comments and negative words. I’m wondering, what would be the best way to approach her in this type of situation?

A5: The challenge is to not let her negativity drag you down. My suggestion is that you set some boundaries and do not participate in that sort of behavior. BE an example of happiness, integrity and success. It may really inspire her to think twice about their choice in words and behaviors. 

Simply being cordial and sharing gifts in a warm, empathetic and non-critical way is powerful. If that doesn't work for self-preservation, I would separate yourself and continue to set boundaries with those types of conversations.
