3 Things To Do Today To Overcome Any Bad Habit

If you’ve ever tried to lose weight, quit smoking, stop watching TV or learn a new skill, then you probably know how challenging it can feel in the beginning.

In fact oftentimes, our bad habits are so overwhelming that we feel hopeless when trying to get rid of them.

My friend told me the other day that she’s been trying to lose weight for months now. She was so motivated at first. She would go to the gym and train really hard, cut out carbs for a week, but just a couple of weeks later she felt sore, hungry and still overweight. So the momentum would melt away and she wouldn’t get any closer to achieving her goal.

I personally use Mind Movies to keep me on track with my goals, but there are also some other easy and effective strategies to overcome bad habits and reach your goals faster.

And today, I’d like to share 3 of them with you…

Tip 1. Face your fear.

Sometimes we’re so afraid to face our problems so rather we don’t think about them or even admit they exist.

Most people have been guilty of this at some point in their lives, but it’s important to remember that pretending that the problem is not there won’t make it disappear. In fact, it could only make it worse and then you’ll have to deal with a bigger problem and a bigger discomfort.

Now, if you’re not sure if you have a problem, then think about how you’d feel if you didn’t have that ‘thing’ anymore or if you couldn’t do that ‘thing’ ever again.

Whenever you find yourself resisting to take action to improve yourself, then you’re most probably dealing with an unhealthy habit or destructive pattern.

Tip 2. Be aware of your actions.

When you’re aware of your actions, you can actually do something to change them.

You might be addicted to sugar without knowing it, but being aware of your urges and your eating habits will make it easier for you to act to change your ways.

Also, when you become more aware of your actions, you’ll also get to know yourself better… so start taking notice of the things in your life that make you feel good and also the things that don’t. When you do, you can then make a powerful decision to either keep the bad things in your life, or work to get rid of them.

Tip 3. Set realistic goals.

Whatever goal you’re trying to reach, it’s important that you commit to it and that you’re realistic about how much effort, time or money you need to invest to see results.

For example, if it’s losing weight, then you might want to start by replacing your afternoon bag of chips or evening dessert, with a bowl of fruit. If you want to start incorporating exercise into your daily routine, then you might want to start with jogging for 15 minutes a day. If you want to break your addiction to TV, then you may start by turning it off for 1 hour a day and doing an outdoor activity instead. If you’re overspending, then it would be a good idea to make a plan to pay off your debts and eliminate the things you spend money on but don’t really need.

As you can see, breaking down your goals (to remove bad habits) into smaller steps, will keep you motivated longer and you’ll therefore be able to accomplish more.

Now, if you’re looking to improve in a particular area of life right now or if you have a goal that you’ve been putting off because it may seem unattainable or you’re simply unsure of how to achieve it, then I’m going to reveal to you my secret tip #4 that will help you see positive results in your life, fast!

It’s my FREE quiz that reveals what could be blocking you from achieving the goals you desire.

But hurry, I can’t promise this quiz will be free for long…
