7 Practices Successful People Live By To Stay Ahead of The Game

Let’s face it.

We ALL strive to be successful in life…

… yet very few people are actually willing to do the hard work it takes to be at the top.

Sure, there are easy things you can do to blast your success, however you have to be willing to put in the extra energy and dedication to get ahead of the game.

In today’s blog post, I’d like to share with you 7 practices successful people live by to stay ahead of the game, so you can follow in their footsteps. :-)

1. They live by the motto “Mind Over Matter”.

Successful people know that the quality of their life greatly depends on the quality of their thoughts; this is why every day they set an intention.

They set aside time to visualize their goals, adopt empowering daily rituals, and focus their energy into what really matters to them the most.

And when a negative thought comes to mind, they immediately replace it with an uplifting and more positive one, that keeps them grounded and aligned with their intention.

2. They honor their time.

Time is one of the most precious things we have and yet sometimes, we take it for granted.

Successful people, however, know this and therefore simplify their lives by saying NO to the things that don’t serve them or their purpose in life, and most importantly… they live every day as if it were their last.

3. They live with discipline.

Discipline is the power that motivates you to do what you should do instead of what you want to do, but it’s also a decision that only YOU can make for yourself.

When successful people struggle with this, they practice daily success affirmations like: “I take inspired action today” or, “I can achieve anything I put my mind to.”

They know that seeing themselves as a disciplined person helps them to be in control of their mind, body and spirit.

4. They listen to other people’s ideas.

Knowing when to shut up and listen can be easier for some than others, however this is a skill that successful people know how to use to their advantage. Listening to feedback about their own ideas is how they learn to be better.

5. They invest in their health.

Waking up early to work out can be really, really hard sometimes, but people who live to stay at the top… they do it anyway.

Whatever staying healthy means to them (going to the gym, taking supplements, eating right, getting therapy), they know that this helps them to further their success.

6. They invest in their education.

Successful people never stop learning. They’re always reading books to improve themselves, attending seminars, events, and networking with like-minded people… even with busy schedules, they always make time to invest in themselves.

7. They’re not afraid to face their fears.

Many people think that just finding their passion and doing what they love makes them automatically successful in life. But the truth is, once you’re there, you still have to push yourself to get out of your comfort zone to continue growing.

People who are ahead of the game know that most people are not willing to face their fears, so they choose to embrace uncertainty in order to progress faster in life.
